Abstract
|
|
|
Neuroendocrine(NE) tumors of the larynx are rare with an estimated incidence of 0.6% of all laryngeal neoplasm and the total number of NE tumor of the larynx reported in the world literature now amounts to about 400 cases. Its diagnostic problems
are
rarity and submucosal growing. The electron microscopic and immunocytochemical study were necessary for its diagnosis. Wenig(1989) recently adapted Gould's classification of NE neoplasms of the lung to laryngeal tumors and proposed a division of
NE
carcinomas of the larynx to three groups : well differentiated NE carcinoma, moderately differentiated NE carcinoma, poorly differentiated NE carcinoma. Recently we experienced each case of all 3 subtypes of NE carcinoma, so we report its
clinical
manifestations and characteristics with a review of lieratures.
